Kriangsak opened it, gave me a written assessment within the week, and the final result was well within the movement's original specification. I brought a 1950s Jaeger-LeCoultre dress watch for full restoration. The case had been polished at some point and I was worried further work would remove more of the original finish. Three Watches, Three Different Paths
THE WATCH
1968 Seiko 5606 Automatic
SITUATION
Had not been serviced since purchase in the 1970s, stopping several times per day. Owner was unsure if repair was worthwhile.
THE SERVICE
WHAT WAS DONE
Full disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, new mainspring, barrel arbour replaced, pivot holes cleaned and freshly oiled. Rate adjusted on timing machine. Correct 5606 parts sourced from Japanese supplier.
THE OUTCOME
Returned running at +6 sec/day. Cost: ฿15,500. Owner continues wearing daily.

THE WATCH
1954 Longines Pocket Watch, Cal. 30Z
SITUATION
A family piece not run in two decades. Broken stem, missing crown. Owner uncertain whether watch could be returned to running condition.
THE SERVICE
WHAT WAS DONE
Correct stem for the 30Z calibre sourced from a Swiss parts supplier after six weeks. Period-correct crown also located. Full overhaul. Case cleaned without polishing. Owner informed at each stage of the sourcing timeline.
THE OUTCOME
Running at approx. +20 sec/day — acceptable for a vintage pocket movement. Total cost: ฿53,000 including parts sourcing.

SITUATION
A family piece of personal value. Case had been buffed previously. Owner concerned that further work would remove more original finish.
THE SERVICE
WHAT WAS DONE
Full movement overhaul. Case degreased and cleaned without mechanical polishing. Lug edges addressed conservatively to reduce visual discrepancy without removing further material.
THE OUTCOME
Running well within specification. Case presented with better balance between surfaces. Cost: ฿54,500.
