1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions:

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using this website or leaving a watch with us for service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into these terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you are acting on behalf of another person or a business, you confirm that you have authority to do so.

These terms apply in addition to any specific Service Agreement made in writing at the time of intake.

3. Service Description

Nava Horology provides three levels of watchcare for mechanical and automatic timepieces:

Services are provided from our workshop in Bangkok, Thailand. We do not currently offer postal or courier-based service for watches not already in our possession.

The scope of work for any watch is confirmed in a written report provided to the client before work begins. No work proceeds without client agreement to the written scope.

4. Service Terms

Assessment and written report: Each watch undergoes an initial assessment. The findings and recommended service scope are provided in writing. The client may accept, decline, or discuss alternatives. No service fees are charged for assessments that result in a decision not to proceed.

Scope changes: If additional issues are found during service that affect the agreed scope, we will contact the client for a second agreement before proceeding. No additional work is carried out without explicit client authorisation.

Parts: Where replacement parts are required, we source original or well-matched components. Where a correct part is not immediately available, we will source it internationally. Timelines may be extended by parts sourcing; clients are informed of any significant delays.

Timelines: Estimated timelines are provided in good faith. Nava Horology does not commit to fixed completion dates. If a timeline changes materially, the client will be informed.

Watch security: Every watch left with us is individually logged and stored securely. It will be handled only by workshop staff and not left unattended during working hours. The workshop is locked outside of operating hours.

5. Payment Terms

All prices are quoted in Thai Baht (฿). Starting prices are published on this website; the final cost for any service is agreed in writing before work begins and will not exceed the agreed amount without a further written agreement.

Payment is due on collection of the watch. We accept cash (Thai Baht) and major bank transfers. Specific payment arrangements may be discussed at intake.

Uncollected watches: If a watch is not collected within 90 days of notification of completion, Nava Horology reserves the right to apply a storage fee. If a watch remains uncollected after 180 days without communication from the client, we reserve the right to pursue recovery of service costs through appropriate legal channels.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, photography, design, and the Nava Horology name and logo — is owned by Nava Horology and protected under Thai intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, copy, or use our content for commercial purposes without written permission.

We do not assert ownership over any watch or watch components brought to us for service.

7. Disclaimers

Watch repair and restoration involves working on mechanical devices of varying ages and conditions. While we take all reasonable care, we cannot predict every condition that may be found once a movement is opened, nor the response of aged components to servicing. Our written reports aim to identify risks before work begins.

We do not make claims about future performance beyond the scope of work agreed. The condition and value of a watch after service depends on many factors outside our control, including the watch's history, age, and prior handling by others.

This website is provided for informational purposes. We reserve the right to update, modify, or withdraw content at any time.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Thai law, our liability for any claim arising from service provided is limited to the amount paid by the client for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including loss of market value attributed to age or prior condition.

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including supply chain issues affecting parts availability.

9. Dispute Resolution

If you have a concern about any aspect of our service or these terms, please contact us in the first instance at [email protected]. We will endeavour to resolve any concern informally and promptly.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.

10. General Provisions

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect changes. Continued use of the website or our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated on this page with reasonable notice.
